All I want for Xmas is the gift of travel. A small road trip to Quebec, a weekend trip to NYC or an extended trip to Greece. Travel makes you see the world at its best. Best wishes for all to have a more hopeful 2010

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary this year and the cost prevented us from travelling to Vancouver for a Alaska Cruise. Our dream would be to spend Christmas with our daughter & family in B.C., and be able to bring our other daughter & grand kids. It would be a dream come true!

The top of my wish list is always travel. I love to explore new places and find new things in familiar places. One of the things I would most like to do is a train journey across Canada.

All I want for Christmas this year Vivian is for my father-in-law who is battling cancer to stay healthy and in remission for many more years to come.
It would be wonderful if I won the $200 voucher as I would give it to my mother and father-in law to enjoy a beautiful train trip on VIA trains to a wonderful destination of their choice as they celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
This would be a lovely trip and something memorable for them to enjoy while he is still healthy and able to do so.
I hope that God keeps my father-in-law here for several more years as family is so important to me.
I lost both of my parents at a young age and though they are my in-laws they have been my mom and dad for over 22 years loyally and I don’t know what I would have done without them and my wonderful husband.
This is my wish this holiday season. Spending time with friends and family is what I believe Christmas is all about.

I fear,in a moment of frustration,accidently, you may have deleted my wishlist. Therefore, I would like to humbly re-submit it.
As you recall, way back in 1973,when I was twenty-something,a friend & I drove accross Canada from Halifax to Vancouver.The trip took 2 months and gave me the memories of a lifetime,(well at least for 35 years). Words can’t adaquately describe the feelings of seeing the beauty of MY Canada and meeting so many great,culturally diverse Canadians.
Remember,in 1974 I flew to Vancouver and lived there for one year and then for my return trip home,I took the train from Vancouver,through the Rockies,to Calgary. The train trip was awe inspiring,such a different trip than the one I took through the Rockies by car in ’73.
Here’s the wish part again:
I would love to make that train trip again,only this time take the train ALL the way from Vancouver to Halifax. Oh,and this time,as you know, I now have a husband to take with me.
Santa,you must know how much and how long I’ve wished for this trip and perhaps this is the year you feel I’ve been good enough to finally receive it.
I know what you’re thinking Santa…I should settle for the less expensive online version of the trip. BUT, I need some new,updated memories to get me through the next 35 years.

All I want under the Christmas tree this year is my fiancee. I miss her so much. Having her here for Christmas day would be the best thing ever.
Last year I made a ‘bucket list’. I amend it periodically. On my bucket list, was to take the train across Canada to Vancouver, through the Rocky Mountains. I did it this summer and it was a wonderful, memorable trip. I went by myself and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was so good, I would like to do it again – but this time to bring my family!!
I would love a piano under the tree. I doubt it would fit, but I’m sure Santa could find a way.
My parents had a beautiful antique piano in their living room that I learned to play on, and it was right beside the Christmas tree. When I was little I’d plug in the Christmas tree and its lights were so bright that I could read the notes of my favourite Christmas carols.
I loved playing the carols; but when my mom heard me playing one in June she put a yearly time limit in effect: I wasn’t allowed to play them before December or after the New Year.
This year was my first in my own house; with my own Christmas tree. It’d be very special to play carols beside my own tree.
New fluffy towels for the bathroom! There is nothing better than starting your day with a clean, fresh, new towel. Simple pleasures.
What I’ve loved the most about the entries so far is — the overwhelming wish to be together with loved ones during this important time of year.
It warms my heart to know that the spirit of the season is still alive.

I was trying really hard to go home for Christmas this year but it is not going to
happen due to lack of funds. So this will be my first Christmas away from home. I feel really awful for not going up because my family really wanted me to go up but they understand completely for my reasons. It would be nice to go up and surprise my family with my arrival and try to cheer everyone up because there has been a lot going on within the past year. That would be the great Christmas gift for them.
All I want for Christmas is a pair of socks. Doesn’t everyone want socks? Of course they do.

All I want for Christmas is my family to be together. My daughter can’t be home this year as she doesn’t have the funds for a train ticket. I am unable to help her to come home as I have been travelling so much for medical reasons. It has really taken a toll on all of us this year emotional and financial. As we get older we appreciate the spirit and meaning of Christmas, we enjoy watching our children experience it for the first time, just as much as we enjoy seeing our parents have great smile on their face to have their family all under one roof. There is no substitute for it, and there is no other time of year that fosters that much lover and togetherness.
